Incredible spot. Great local swiss food. Hearty beers. Great service. Beautiful sunshine from about 11am to 230pm in winter. I cannot tell you how great an experience we had at this place. I thoroughly recommend it.

The rosti with eggs and beer hits the spot. Really great spot for a mountain lunch. The restaurant and stairs are a bit tight for a larger guy in ski boots, and it’s not a place with a view. It’s located closer to the valley. Go for the food, it’s worth it.

Great spot to stop on your hike!! Service, atmosphere and food and drinks were spot on. We tried the bacon & cheese rosti (minus the egg) and the apple strudel- both delicious. Would totally recommend for a beverage mid hike or food this place was great.

This is a place you have to try when you’re in Zermatt. Amazing food, and even without a reservation the owner made sure we could taste their specialties.... in the middle of a snowstorm. You’re awesome!

Best meal i have had in a good while, and not to mention the views. Walked up from Zermatt through the gorge, which pits you out directly under this place. The mushroom soup was unbelievable, and the lamb wellington and pork chop were absolutely delicious. We tried to go back in for strudel on our way back down from hiking to the glacier, but unfortunately they were closed, so will have to come back another day Definitely worth the visit

Definitely the best food I've had in Switzerland so far. You have to get the mushroom soup with pastry. The apple strudel is the best I've ever had. Incredible. And the service is lovely with a beautiful view of the mountains. It's worth the walk up
